Life is War
You've heard it said; you've lived the battles; you know it's true.
Sometimes we major so much on the attacks and the battles, we forget that in Christ is
victory.
Paul states in Galatians 5:1 that "It was for freedom that Christ
set us free." Yet so often we are held in the bondage of sin. For
many, no matter how much we try, it seems we cannot get rid of besetting sins.
Some of you reading this could be under a curse imposed
by ourselves or others (check out some key passages in your Bible such as Deut. 30 to know
more about curses and how they are incurred. Also, check out Derek Prince's book in our
bibliography). A curse incurred through someone's actions or words could bring about
problems with physical or mental health, relationships, finances, accidents, or any other
number of difficulties.
Or maybe we have opened a door to the evil one through ungodly
activities in his realm (whether done innocently or with full knowledge as an
adult Christian). These might include playing with an ouija board, crazy eight balls, body
or table levitation, participation in palm reading or astrology, involvement with
crystals, astral-projection, contacting spirit guides, and involvement in new age
medicine, just to name a few.
One huge area that opens us up to spiritual attack is when we harbor
unforgiveness. Check out some of the words of Jesus on this matter in Luke
6:37-38, and also John Bevere's The Bait of Satan, and some of Francis
Franipane's books in our bibliography.
The enemy's greatest tactic is to keep the Christians from praying. So
when you engage in frontline warfare by praying for and reaching out to those who have
been under the influence of the evil one for thousands of years, expect some attacks. But
remember "greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world."
We want to provide you some resources that can help you combat the
enemy's attacks as you pray for the millions of Miao lost without Christ.
